There are a few things that will determine the speed.
Type of cable, are you using at least a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable? Have you tried swapping with another cable connected to a device that is connecting at gigabit?
Settings on the Mac, have you checked to see that its set to automatic?
What is it connecting to? A gigabit port or something different?
Have tried the above, with another machine which does connect at 1000 using the same cables and same location in the house and its works fine...
all router ports are 10/100/1000
I think i have narrowed this down to an issue with the mac its self. Im not to clued up on mac os fine configuration, and have not been able to find anywhere to force or change the link speed.... Please correct me if im wrong...

I received one of the free test units as well. It fits very well, and is a much better fit than the case I had for my iPod Touch 2G - that one was too flexible and kept coming off. The Rearth case solves a big problem for me - the Touch is simply too slippery to use without a case; I was constantly nearly dropping it.
My headphones work just fine with the new case and the sync cable still fits well. I don't mind the cutout on the back for the Apple logo.

At the moment they are okay. The rule against simulated signatures is primarily to prevent people from quoting the simulated signatures and leading to increased visibility of the irrelevant information. We'd definitely revisit it if it gets to be an issue with Tapatalk and the like though, just as we're willing to revisit most things.
Okay, thanks for the response! I thought it would be okay but wanted to confirm that before turning on the auto-signature feature in Tapatalk. Maybe the signature rule could be edited to add a mention of Tapatalk for instance (just for future reference as now it pretty much says that you cannot).

What sort of display and GPU do you have (maybe what Mac too)? Have you played around with the Color Preferences within Displays in System Preferences? :)

If you know anyone with an external superdrive then you can use it. I know that the external super drives that were released with the macbook air works with the mini too.

Hi guys! I own a MacBook Pro 2009 Alu Version (still Leopard) and a SanDisk cruzer micro 8 GB memory stick. Yesterday I had to give a presentation at uni, and it looks like I 'contracted' some sort of malware/virus from the uni's (Windows) computer, when I plugged in my USB stick. There's now a folder on there called ZLATO containing a file named 'suvo.exe (http://www.sophos.com/en-us//threat-center/threat-analyses/viruses-and-spyware/Mal~Palevo-A.aspx)'. I wasn't able to delete this the usual way and running Sophos confirmed my suspicions.
Now, Sophos is telling me to restart my computer to 'clean up the threat', but even though I've done that, it still won't let me remove the file.
I love my USB stick and have been using it for years, never had any trouble. Do you think I should reformat it or could that damage the stick (I've heard some flash drives aren't supposed to be reformatted, but I really have no knowledge of this)...
Anyway. Any helpful advice would be welcome, because I don't fancy spreading this thing any further.
Thanks in advance!

Just bought a Just-Mobile AluPen capacitive stylus (http://www.xtand.net/alupen.html) that I plan on using for my iPad/iPhone, but wanted to give it a shot on my MacBook Pro's trackpad as well (same capacitive-touch technology).
The problem is that with the MacBook, when you're using a drawing app like Pixelmator, it waits for click input to start drawing "ink" to the canvas. It's not like an iPad where you're either drawing (contact on screen) or you're not (no contact).
How do I get this stylus to work intuitively on my MacBook the way it works on my iPad? I don't want to be clicking the trackpad when I'm drawing. It distorts things and degrades the stylus's tip much faster because of all the added pressure.
There's got to be a way...
PS
I tried enabling "Tap to click" and "Dragging" in the Trackpad settings pane but those don't work intuitively either. There's got to be a better solution.

Yep looks like windows to me ;-)
I think it's a bad start when you have to try to steal developers from the competition like this.

Hi,
Is it possible to attach a Pl mount lens to a DSLR ?? How ??
I found this web page to be really cool, even though the
items are way pricey !!!
I particularly liked this lens, the 17-50 mm zoom:

What I do is use a Zip 100 drive. They can store about 100MB per disk and you can pick up the SCSI versions of the drives cheap. Getting the Zip disk driver onto the Mac Classic isn't too bad, you just need the right version for your System.
Then use a USB Zip Drive or a G3 or G4 tower (or other Mac) which has a Zip 100 drive built-in and copy the files. Thankfully a lot of the G3/G4 towers had these drives built in, or you can get an IDE one for a PowerMac. But a USB version is ideal for portability.
I have found this to be one of the easiest ways to copy files from older systems. If you have another legacy Mac you can always copy things via AppleTalk via a serial cable or a LocalTalk connection. It's slow but it works! Or if you have an Asante SCSI to Ethernet adapter you can try that, but that's a long shot. ;)
For more info you may want to look at the 68kmla.net forums, that place is filled with vintage Mac owners that know their stuff. Good luck! :D

I've just mentioned this to my girlfriend, who works for HM Revenue and Customs, and her response was "I'm not surprised."
She does, however, maintain that this wasn't her fault. How do I find out if my records have been deleted?

Yeah I'd love to see how power 7 would fold
We just got a bunch of pwr 7 systems as well as a boatload of Nehalem's at work, too bad I'll never get a chance to try them out :(
