its not creaking yet but it creaks when i push the plastic myself, im wondering if everyones does that.Mine does the same thing. Think about this for a second, it's a plastic part on a metal frame. The plastic Apple used for this part is not soft plastic, it's a harder type, so it will creak when pushed against metal.

What I'd like to see is something that will format CD-RW's so you can read and write to them just like a floppy. Simular to Roxio's Direct CD on Windows
True that. And ditto for faking it using multi-session and CDRs.

I was very suspicious of this when I first saw it. But then I went to Ambrosia's website and it was actually there, so I downloaded it just for fun, even though I didn't really believe it. I had a feeling it was an April Fools prank. Then I read the comments on the review on macteens and my doubts were confirmed. I'm running it right now just for fun, though.
It's a very clever prank.

hey so I was thinking that since i have a 500gb external hard drive and would like to use it as a backup for my internal 160gb hard drive and that I should use time machine. well due to that my machine only has a 160gb internal HD I don't want to dedicate the entire 500gb's to time machine. so I was thinking of partitioning 165gb's for time machine and the rest in another partition to just use for whatever. now my problem is how would I go about doing this? and so that time machine always backs up to the 165gb partition.
also that I could access both partitions easily. but first is this even possible? is it not recommended? and not a good idea?
also if possible could I make two 165gb partitions and one with the remaining 170gb's and use both 165gb partitions as time machine back ups? that way I could back up two computers to one drive on separate partitions and also have 170 for whatever I need it for?

Interesting point, eh?
Perhaps the purpose of that badge is to show the minimum OS requirements then? How many of these tips appears in Panther and are no longer valid?

Hello :) Right my boyfriend is having trouble with his Macbook.
It has been working fine and today, he pulled his power cable out and the Macbook turned off immediately. We plugged it back in and it says the battery is at 97% but again, turns off straight away if you unplug it.
After leaving it plugged in for a while, I have noticed it has stayed at 97% and it doesn't appear to be charging. Also, if the battery was 97% charged it should stay turned on when we unplug it but it of course isn't doing that.
If anyone knows what may be wrong or has any ideas on what we can try it would be really appreciated!

Ahh yes, I suppose I didn't say, it would be your first one, a more red vs blue thing. And yes I have it scripted out. Thanks for the advice both of you.

Hello!
I have just moved to Edinburgh, Scotland (a beautiful city!) to work abroad for 6 months or so... I have a powermac at home (in the States) that I thought would be unreasonable to bring with me overseas, and have been planning to get a powerbook when I got here. I had been holding off on ordering one until the Paris Expo in case a new revision was announced, but seeing as the chances of that are quite slim, I am considering just getting one. I do, however, have a few concerns.
I do want a US model, with the US keyboard layout and everything. I also assume that they can take a 220v power line, correct? So I would only need a plug adapter? Also, will it cost an arm and a leg to send the powerbook here, if I order a US model? Not expactly sure how this works... any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm going nuts here!
I need to mirror the signal from the MiniDisplayport of my MBP to three 50" TVs. Up to 15 meters cable-run.
Any ideas that will avoid any EDID-issues?
Please?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah your right Timdaddy, Apple will probably keep the design of the current iMac for awhile, kinda like they are keeping OS X going....the original iMac didnt change appearance much (other than colors) and lastest for a few years.

For the Mac and the display that goes with it warranty wise, how much with shipping?
Depends on where in the country, but I'd imagine adding $100 for shipping UPS to most locations.
$3225 all inclusive

Just buy an adaptor? Fairly sure if you search iPhone 2G Headphone adapter or similar you will find one, just makes it fit.

Always set up Boot Camp before the VM solution you are trying to share that install with.
Check out the "install windows from USB" and "install windows without super drive" for an approach that uses Parallels to copy the files onto the partition, prepares it for boot and then completes the Boot Camp install normally.
Once that's working go back and launch your Boot Camp in parallels.
