Is the Nebraska Service Center fast or is there any other center that is fast. I am filing 140 and 485 together so kindly advice. Also, I would be getting married in 5 months in India and my Wife would come with me after that. Can I include her after she comes here? Is there anything that I would be aware off. Please advice. I have the same issue.

Can see the status of I-485s online, but system doesn't even recognize my I-140 LIN#.
Attorney says that this is fine. Asks to wait for few more months.

i got similar message, but this was for Advance Parole not 485...

I have applied my I-131 through e-file. Immediately I got the receipt no(LIN##########).
Can anybody tell me what supporting document I need to send to NSC.
By the way, I got my EAD. I don't want to spend money such stupid form fill up which takes 10 min by the attorney.

Friends, I Received the magic email today!

Yes - I cant believe my eyes, my I-485 has been approved today and card production ordered.

I do have a question: I could not file for my wife's i-485 in July/2007. So, we filed for my wife's application on Aug/01/2008 (Did a overnight express mail on July-31st) as my PD is current as of Aug-1st. So far her application check has not been deposited.

What will happen now? Is she out of status? I am getting really concerned. Gurus help me out?

Your wife is not out of status...you have applied and her official status is 485 applied and status pending. Keep her FedEx receipt handy till you get her official receipt. Dont worry its just 6 days past when you sent her application and there is a huge rush. You will get it soon and check would be encashed soon as well. My experience it takes time to get cash encashment particularly when there is a huge rush.

based on my knowledge you could file I-824 (correction to make adjustment of status to CP or viceversa) or you could file for new I-140 opting for Consular processing. You don't have to work till the end of the GC process in US. If the employer is willing to sponsor you GC and upon approval offer you the job described in GC petition(ie at US) then you should be fine. Hence if you employer is ok with that you could move to Canada without any issues and your GC im US will still be ok. AOS(Adjustment of Status) is only possible if you are staying within US and hence if you move to Canada you can't do AOS.
