Hi Experts,
My GC finally recently got approved and have following questions:
• If I don’t work for my current employer for at least six months after the approval, what kind of issues comes up when applying for citizenship later. What is the law.
• Do we have to submit six months paystubs or yearly W2s.
All I am just trying to get a knowledge on this.

When i travelled using AP i had Just One copy and when IO asked for rest i said they are with the attorney.
The IO said i should carry all AP copies and can reuse the one which is stamped.

Friends:
Two weeks ago I received an RFE for my E-Filed I-131 Advance Parole.
They requested two passport-style Photos but didn't mention where to send the RFE response.
However, on the top right-corner (next to the US Dept. Homeland security Logo) on the RFE page, there is an address (P.O Box 852381 Mesquite, Texas 75185-2381).
Underneath of the Director signature it has Officer # 159.
I'm really confused
1. Which address to send the RFE response?
2. Attention to what??? (Should I put Attn: to this officer # 159)
Please guide me ASAP...

No... as long as you can show ties to the US (owning a house, paid taxes, etc) you should be OK. In a situation where a company has sent you overseas, if you have adequate documentation to prove that the company had sent you overseas and you are still on the payroll here, you should be OK. Although, to be safe, I would probably try to make a couple of trips back to the US in a year to maintain resident status.

I m an MBA(major:general mba)student in a university in texas. I have an bachelors of engineeing (electrical & electronics)from india. I have found an desi employer who is ready to train me in SAP (FICO)functional and than place me on projects to diffeent companies. Since i m graduating in august 2008 ,At first i have to work for him on OPT and than in apil 2009 my employer will sponcer my h1 visa.
Now my question is....
1) can i work in SAP FICO functional , when i m on my opt?(opt means i have to work in a job directly related to my major field of study and i guess SAP is not related to my field major field of study)
2)will i have problems getting a h1b visa? (since General MBA and SAP are completely different fields )
Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

Not really. If you see the late June submitters thread, many of us who applied in the June 20th timeframe have got their receipts. It took us 5 weeks to get the receipts from the date of filing.

You need to find out what type of visa etc etc I don't think she is giving you all the details. You can appeal on anything unless you have broken the law.

However, if my experience with slashdot is anything to go by, we wont get any sympathy from fellow (US citizen/GC) techies there .. they have been brainwashed into believing that we actually stole their jobs ... in any case their opinion does not matter much. The only folks who count are the media and lawmakers.

I am working for a Company A and I have a Labor and I 140 approved for OCT 2005 EB2 through the same company.
I filed my I 485 on July 2nd. Now I have a very good offer from Company B. I have following questions and I seek your help -
1) Can I retain my PD?
2) If yes, what are the requirements and what is the process to retain the old PD?
3) Does the Company B have to file I 140 again?
4) What if Company A pulls back their I 140? Can they?
5) What are the risks?
6) Has anyone done this and had a success?

Just a side note,you should send EAD/AP renewal applications only 120 days in advance not 180 days..according to the new rule set by USCIS.

Your education evaluation is valid for a long period(not sure how long). I applied for my first H1 in 2000 and got education evaluation that time. Stamping didnot work out for me that time.
I applied for new H1 in 2003 and submitted same education evaluation that I got in 2000. I entered US and used same edu eval for transferring H1. I did not have any issues.
So you are fine. I dont know if this applies to all cases.
