I am folding in windows with my gpu for the next week or so, or until twoodcc gets back, then I'll go back to os x. We will have crazy ppd (for us anyway :P) when he returns!! As least jav6454 is back now. :)
If all goes to plan, I will be building an Ivy Bridge computer when the chip comes out. But who knows when that is actually going to happen.

I really shouldn't care about the design of cars that will most likely never become a collectable such as the Civic or modern Malibu....
Oh and you do get wow out of some family sedans, like the BMW 5 series, especially the M5, or some of the Mercs. However, not in the price range of the Malibu..

This is another reason why I will likely just transfer my number to Google Voice for $20 + cancellation fees without losing my number. Currently my cost would be about $100 total for the change on top of a contract price of $299 (for 32GB model), so $399 instead of $549.

Actually yes... If you cross the road without looking.. You deserve to get hit by a car. What the hell kind of example is that? If you're going to spend $450 on something, you should AT LEAST be smart enough to read the description of the product. I never once said the seller was right in doing so, so don't you dare call me a scum... Maybe you should re-read my post before you try and act like a smart guy. Here's my current set-up. I'm looking for a good xmas Mail icon and maybe one for Safari and FF. I know what I'd like, but I'm not a Photoshop guy at all. Also, the Mail icon looks like it's sitting on the dock in an odd manner. Kind of bugging me, but I can't find a different, Christmas-y one.

I agree 100% with both of your posts. It still bothers me that compressor is the only application that can make full use of both my Mac Pro�s CPUs.
And I really hate the look of low bitrate AVCHD but we have to work with it nonetheless.

That sarcasm is directed at compressor and not at you.
I WISH i could get compressor to work. Oh, sorry....I should clarify, to work beyond 1 frickin' file! If i start a batch, the only thing I'm not sure of is which error I'll get - it's usually 1 of 2.
Yet, I can use Innobits, Bitvice to compress MPEG2 files for DVD (and the ac3s) and well, wouldn't you know, this fine 3rd party apps makes all my cores jump with excitement without me even praying to get on my knees and cry for help :)
I'm a pretty laid back guy, but man compressor just busts my kahonies. Heck, I even emailed Mr. Jobs about it (although nothing back).
And don't even get me started on having to export to QT first. I do not even come close to understanding the logic behind that considering it's their own software!
BUT, compressor is stopping me from upgrading to an 8core so no more money for Apple in that case. No sense spending a few grand on a machine whose potential won't even come close to being tapped.
I don't drink, but feel like I should have one right now.

recently purchased a used 3g iphone....got it restored sort of...now it's stuck in a reboot loop.....the :apple: logo comes on the loading bar comes across the under the :apple: logo and it starts all over again.. have tried tiny umbrella and no go....and some one even tried a custom restore....should i cut the losses and give the phone the boot or is there still hope?..........i'm new at this so PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!:(

My idea of discussion is rational reasoning, not bloodthirsty appeals to emotion or polls proving one is in "good company".

I have a FlipHD, and it automatically syncs all my movies into iphoto. Does iphoto compress or alter (loss of quality) these videos by merely syncing them?
