yeah, Three-Speech later updated and said 2K told them it was only for 360 and PC. One would imagine it would eventually come to PS3, especially if it sells well, but meh! I'll snag it for my 360 :D
Lair better come out in July, this spring is a dry wasteland for good games :( aside from paper mario anyway.
That might be the case for you but I have way too many games to play :)
Warcraft III (yeah I still play it), Starcraft (replaying the main campaign), Company of Heroes, Command & Conquer Generals, Command & Conquer 3, Rainbow Six Vegas and God of War II.

When my home studio opened in 2000 i was running a pentium 3 1 ghz system with 512mb ram and a 60-gig hd. In 2002 i updated to XP and had no problems from then on. I was using cubase sx on pc and was having very little problems maybe 1 crash every 2 months. The main problem was speed... wasn't able to run many tracks with the plugins I had. So this Oct. I purchased a brand new dual2.0ghz g5 with 512mb ram and a 160-gig hd. I purchased motu Digital Performer 4 and the g5 came with panther. Now in January I'm beginning to regret this decision. First of all i must say OSX is flawless. It's a pleasure to work with everyday. Now on the hardware side. The speed is very good but I'm an audio engineer and obviously the control room must be as quiet as possible. The system itself...pretty silent. Now the crunching squeaking and chirping that is coming out of my speakers and headphones is far form silent. My clients complain almost everytime about the noise that is coming from their headphones in between takes. Digital Performer is awful. I have never used a program that loves to randomly quit to often. My recommendation for any audio engineer or musician/engineer stay away from the first generation g5' and digital performer. The combination of the two has all but ruined my mac experience.

Gosh I hope not. It's less than a year old.
Well, if it's less than a year old, it should be under warranty. Better it breaks now, than at the start of Month 13...!

I doubt there would be a huge difference, but if you are looking for numbers, the high end 15" MBP has the 6750M in it and there are lots of benchmark numbers for it floating around the 'net. That should give you at least a baseline of what to expect from the 6750m and if that is "good enough" for you, then I would roll with that.
Just my .02 worth.
P.S. Yes I realize that they utilize different processors, and other factors can cause the benchmark numbers to vary, but it is a good baseline for what to expect in the iMac.

Evening all,
I was messing around with logic on my MBP today, and my son (6, nearly 7) was well into it, and soon took over playing around and adding in instruments/loops/effects and loving it.
In his room we have an old iMac G3, with a whopping 400MhZ processor and 512MB of RAM. Anyone got any recommendations for something similar that'll run on his machine? I know it's lacking the horsepower for a lot of the fancier effects, but once upon a time a 400Mhz G3 was cutting edge!
The iMac is running 10.4, and classic, but I have the OS9 CD if running that natively will open up more options. I think I read somewhere that it was possible to trick garageband 1 into running, but not that quickly. I could rig up an external firewire drive if that's likely to make things any more useable.
Cheers for any input.
Mike

You can find the security slot on the back of the iMac.
Kensington (http://eu.kensington.com/kensington/en/gb/sel/334/laptop+locks.aspx) makes many of the locks, they can be found online for significantly cheaper than what the Apple Store or regular retail places will carry them for. Most are priced between 25-40.
This one (http://eu.kensington.com/kensington/en/gb/p/1174/K64615EU/desktop++peripherals+locking+kit.aspx) is intended for desktop use and can also lock peripherals.

This person had the same question.
App doesn't look to be updated to 4.0 and above yet he was using an iPhone 4 in that video.

Panther is what sold me on the Mac. I bought my first Mac, the 1Ghz eMac (ATI Graphics) (http://apple-history.com/body.php?page=gallery&model=emac_ati&sort=date&performa=off&order=ASC) about a week later.

It appears that a lot of folks that installed the 7-14-03 security update have been reporting that problem. Do as previously suggested.

Any reason for using an EPS? Is it a duo or tri-tone? If not, try using a TIFF or a .psd instead. An EPS will contain its own 8-bit preview image that InDesign might be struggling with.
"Traversing spreads for embedded images" doesn't ring a bell and Google's not much help either. Sounds a bit flight-checky and may have something to do with how InDesign handles embedded images (including EPS previews) across spreads that will need slicing.
Just out of curiosity, I'd save a test document without your EPS, package that into a temporary folder and see whether you get the same message.

U can actually create an account from within your app, via a webservice to your back-end, and log in with that.
THe problem with apple is, if your app, is mostly just a single screen with an UIWebview, that does it all for you. There is a high chance they will reject it, because it's not usefull enough..
What apps mostly do, like "Nespresso", is create a tabbar, and provide some additional info, with objective C stuff.
Just saying what I heard, possible that changed!

I jailbroke my iPod Touch 4G a few days ago, and I'm trying to sync it with iTunes for the first time since.
When I try to sync, I get a message saying "This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPod "(name)". Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?" If I click the Authorize button and enter my password, a new box pops up saying "This computer is already authorized." As soon as I click OK on that box, the original box pops back up saying it's not authorized. I have to cancel the sync in order to stop the loop.
I tried to manually deauthorize and reauthorize the computer, but that didn't stop the messages from appearing. I just installed iTunes 10.2, but I've seen on other websites that people had this issue before updating. I'm running 4.2.1 and I jailbroke with greenpois0n rc6.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks. I realized I had the "manually manage music and videos" box checked which I think was messing me up.
