I would except I threw away the reciept and packaging a while ago. I'll just continue using this one until I can find a good deal on a better one.
Ok. Switcheasy hasn't come up with anything yet. :o

Oh, ha! Yeah, in the first post when I said I checked that, I meant that I looked at it and verified that it was unchecked!

You shouldn't be worried about messing up the syntax. Regulars can sort that out if needed and you can preview your changes, so as long as the information is there, it should be fine. Even if you make a really bad edit, it can all be reverted if it needs to. Check this out (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:How_to_Edit_a_Page) if you're interested in editing it yourself. Otherwise, thanks for pointing the page out.

The lights in the room and the TV have different color temperatures (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_temperature#TV.2C_video.2C_and_digital_still_cameras). Tungsten lights, which are typical indoor lights, have a color temp of about 3200K. The TV is probably operating around 6500k if not higher.
The only way to fix this is to get everything working at the same color temp (or at least close enough). Many TVs allow you to adjust the color temp in the menu but I don't know if you'll be able to adjust it enough to fix the problem. Another solution is the replace the light bulbs in the room w/ones of a higher color temp or buy some CTB (Color Temperature Blue) 'gels' to place over the lights. The gels are basically thin, colored sheets of plastic. The final solution is to place a CTO (Color Temperature Orange) gel over the screen of the TV but it could be tricky to do that and keep it from being obvious that there is a sheet of plastic covering the TV screen.
If you've already shot the footage and you have no way to shoot it again and having the TV screen being too blue is unacceptable you can try and fix it a program like Final Cut or After Effects but the process can range from maddening (the camera isn't on a tripod and the speaker keeps waving their hands in front of the TV screen) to dead simple (the camera is on a tripod and never movies and the speaker never gets close to the TV screen).

Hey, i am getting an ipod shuffle, and i am wondering if i should get the dock, or the sport case, I would like the case because it wouldn't get scratched as much and i would like the dock because well frankly i never had one for my other ipod (because they don't exist) and i always wanted one, but even without it i can still use a USB extension cord.
Get whatever is best for you, or get both. They're not all that expensive.
Oh, were ALL the question marks necessary? I wouldn't say an accessory purchase is all that complicated...

My TV is advertised as 1080p and only does 1320x768. As long as it's above 720p they can claim 1080p. It seems that your actual question is whether it's the TV or your computer/connection. It's your TV, the resolution you're getting is its maximum resolution. The maximum resolution HDMI can do is generally 1080p (1920x1080).
This is technically not true, since HDMI can do pretty much any resolution DVI can do, but since it's a multimedia interface 1080p is likely the highest resolution a display you can connect via HDMI will give you (for now, at least).

Hi all,
I am trying to update from 4.2.1 to 4.3.2 for which I have both SHSH blobs saved for. It goes through the entire process, and then gives me an error 1013 that it could not validate my restore. It appears this is when it tries to contact Apple but it fails. However, this is the thing that TinyUmbrella should be handling (I have the TSS server started). TinyUmbrella has edited my /etc/hosts file to 127.0.0.1 for gs.apple.com.
I tried to use TinyUmbrella to "Exit Recovery" first... but when I did it gave me then Apple Logo for a while, and then I ended up back in recovery. Then I tried to do "Fix Recovery" ... it scrolled some text on my screen and then rebooted my phone... in to recovery mode again. After that, I tried "Exit Recovery" and it again put me back in to recovery. I am not sure what to do from here :\
I do not want to do a valid install of 4.3.3.

I am currently JB on 4.2.1 and used tiny umbrella on the same day when 4.3 was released. My saved SHSH's show the following for 4.3.
iPad 4.3b2
iPad 4.3b3
iPad 4.3gm
I assume the last line is indicating goldmaster, however, does this mean I can update to 4.3?
Thanks

This puppy would crank some bigadv units like no other (http://www.dell.com/us/en/business/servers/poweredge-c6100/pd.aspx?refid=poweredge-c6100&s=bsd&cs=04) with 8 - 6 core cpu's and space for 4 gpu's. Only problem is it would cost over $20k  Maybe in 6 or 7 years I can afford to get a used one :p

Probably in the next couple of weeks. That'll happen when something isn't ready in time for an expo, or they just release a minor speed bump or price drop. PowerMacs are more than likely next up, but if we don't see updates to either by early November, it isn't happening until mid to late January. :(

i have a similar issue, but i thought it was the Quadro 4000's fan. i might be wrong, it could be the Mac Pro fans. but anyhow, yes, i hear the fans all day long. not sure what causes this. i do know that the Quadro 4000 runs very hot.
I'm pretty sure it's the quadro fans, I have noticed this on my work computer, after I installed this card as well.

Crucial - they've got sites in a variety of countries and they're highly reliable - sensibly priced too

Am moving right now to two different servers than the current server. Might not need 2 in the long run... things might be a little bumpy here and there as the transfers are done.
The connection is off of our server provider's which is usually a pretty heafty pipe. I don't know the terminology offhand.

I am using the accelerate framework, but get "implicit declaration of function" warnings when using the sgetrf() and sgetrs() functions.
The code works fine, but those two warnings annoy the hell out me.
I don't think I should define those functions anywhere since they are already defined in the clapack header.
Any idea how to get rid of these warnings? Thanks.

#import <Accelerate/Accelerate.h>
#import <vecLib/vecLib.h> //does not get rid of warning
#import <vecLib/clapack.h> //does not get rid of warning
// #import <Accelerate/vecLib/clapack.h> //does not compile

I guess in this case they are considering factors other than capacity. If the older type batteries had problems and the newer ones do not, that would be a "higher graded item."
