I would except I threw away the reciept and packaging a while ago. I'll just continue using this one until I can find a good deal on a better one.
Ok. Switcheasy hasn't come up with anything yet. :o

A man in a dark suit will approach you under the clock at the station. He will ask you whether the fish are jumping, you will reply that there are elephants in the cheesecake. No more will be said, you will receive word three to five working days later.

Hello all,
Weird question, and hoping for some guidance.
Ihave built a light box and put a big pile of unspooled yarn in it. In the picture, the pile of yarn is off to the left, and there is a single strand (leading to the end of the yarn) stretched horizontally across the front of the picture. I'm trying to figure out a way to either:
a. transform the straight line of yarn and manipulate it into text shapes (probably something cursive-like), so I can make it spell something.
b. create a "yarn" text effect that I can drop into the area.
I'm basically trying to make the single strand of yarn spell a word. I'm halfway decent with this kind of stuff, but still trying to figure out how I might accomplish something like this.
Not even sure if this makes any sense! Heck, if there's even a "yarn" font out there that anyone knows of, I'd even use that and blend it in with the photo. Thanks for any direction or advice!

I'm curious if anyone plays Puzzle Pirates.
If not, I highly suggest it. Puzzle Pirates is a MMORPG, but very different from any other you will find, the game is based around a collection of puzzles varying from something like Tetris to Bejewled, to Rocket Mania. It currently hosts 13 different single and multi player games, along with classic card games such as hearts, spades and poker.
Unlike other MMOs the population of Puzzle Pirates spreads 2 million pirates over 5 oceans, and hosts between 2000 and 6000 online players at any given time of day. It offers a friendly environment for everyone.
To begin yer voyage visit www.puzzlepirates.com commence yer voyage amongst pirates as ye pillage and plunder pieces of eight on the high seas.

My wife bought me a Spiderpodium last week, and I have to say it's really cool and practical. This tool, from Breffo, is a sort of a gadget holder -- really great to use with iPods, especially for people who love to do certain activities like biking and running on a treadmill. This thing has 8 bendable "legs", and you can wrap four of them around your gadget to hold it in place, and wrap the other 4 around your bike's handle, your treadmill, or any place, to secure it and keep your hands free. Very inexpensive at 20 dollars!

I order books, music used and new, software, and telescope parts from them and I have never had a problem. They have always been very cheap and prompt.

I can open the exr files in photoshop, but I would have thought there is a way to convert them to adobe .DNG at least?
I've tried saving them out from photoshop into .psd or .tiff (32 bit float?) but aperture doesn't like either as they are 32 bit. Ideally I need to change them to .dng files to work with properly.
I would have thought this is possible?

Does anyone know what XCode sends to the iPad to do that? I mean, how difficult would it be to put together a Q&D little app to save people having to d/l and install XCode?

Sounds useful--but OS X will do encrypted SparseImages for free, without much loss of convenience. And they change size dynamically. And they make a Mac volume even on a Windows-format iPod.

How could I skip the processor verify in order to install the new Lion beta in a CoreDuo MacBook 1,1.
:apple: Hardware specs: 160 Gb., CoreDuo 2 Ghz, 2 Gb RAM.
Any help will be much appreciated!
By the way: I do not have another mac with a Core2Duo -or later- processor.
Thanks

To be honest, I won't worry about it. IIRC, a MacBook Pro idles at about 20W. With this, the bigger battery will only have 10-12 minutes longer life. Under load, this'll obviously drop.
Once the battery has been through a few cycles, I think you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference (the new battery should be unused, so may actually hold more than the old battery, as it's capacity will have dropped).

Hey folks, I have a couple questions if anyone can help!
1. I've been looking at Logic Studio in the education store for when i go to uni in september, is there any difference or limitations etc buying it through the education store? Its a huuugeee discount for there not to be some kind of differences....
and 2. I want a MIDI keyboard to use with it, and wondered if anyone can recommend a good one? budget is around 150 and id like one with full sized keys, minimum 4 octaves, low latency, velocity sensitive etc
I'm pretty sure logic is the same no matter how you buy it.
As for a MIDI controller. There is no shortage of cheap keyboards but I prefer one that can make it's own sound because many times I don't want to bother turning on a computer.

First of all, I think your CAPS lock is stuck on, and you'd better fix that, because all caps is generally accetped a yelling around here.
Most people around here use the iTunes Music Store, because they have a huge selection of songs for only 99 cents each. The iTMS is the number one recommendation that you will get here.
