Hi everyone!
I am a bit new to Illustrator, and graphic design, but I've been using it long enough to know that the paintbrush tool is not working. Whenever I press on it in the tool bar, and/or press b, and it just gives me this symbol, and makes a line while I'm drawing, but the line goes away after.
I've done a software updates for Adobe and my Mac, restarted Illustrator, restarted my computer, and it just doesn't work!
FYI: it has the same symbol when I go into the pencil tool (I don't know if it is the right one for the pencil either.)
HELP!
Thank you!

I could also gouge my eyes out, but it's not really a solution.
Good comeback!

It appears to power the device plugged in, but it doesn't get recognized.
Check your Apple System Profiler and see what it lists as USB ports/devices.

Best $5 I ever spent on XBL. I love Geometry Wars. Just wish I was better.

it says it cant
The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows.
that is what pops up

I am considering a fully loaded 27" iMac versus a MBP+ACD combo for my office. My desk is a built in wall hutch deep enough for a CRT montitor but only 19.75" tall. I measure a 27" iMac without the stand at 17.75" high. So if I VESA mount it on an articulating arm it leaves 1" off the desk and 1" from the bottom of the upper hutch.
Desk is 5' long and the iMac would be open on the sides and I would pull it out 12" from the back wall with the articulating mount and slightly tilt it giving maybe another 1/2" of vertical clearance. Is this enough space for air intake and heat dissipation out the top back slot?

I would also suggest getting MenuMeters; it's an application that shows the specs of your system in the menu bar so you can always know what's going on with the system.
Another app is smbFanControl; it allows you to control the minimum speed of the fans and also has an option to show the speed at the top bar as well.

When I wrote functional, I meant working hardware. If you can't enter DFU, it's not functional.
Since you've erased everything, you'll be able to get a replacement. Now, if you did the ipad bb, that's a different matter altogether.

didn't realize this was a bidding thing. Bought a new one instead. :rolleyes:
it wasn't a bidding thing. i just wanted someone to PM me to get this done. it's boxed up and ready to go.

Parallels and Virtualbox can both also do this, but VMWare has better documentation.

If you mount the disc on OS X and see the ISO file you did it wrong. Download Burn OS X and make sure you burn it as a disc image not a file.

How do you make software for a store you haven't even tried? And you don't even know the difference between Mac and MAC?
I bet that your software will be unsuccessful.

I think you need to make a separate thread for each entry. The mods can confirm that, but I know we had to do this for the first contest, which was almost 2 years ago.

What's your favorite external battery? Given no modular MBA batt, figure this becomes pretty important for extended "away from wall power" time. (Outdoor enthusiasts especially.)

Hey guys I'm having a couple of issues with floats with this site i'm designing
http://zanthus.co.uk/VBG/membership.html
The photo is a float and the text isn't
what is forcing the text over like that ?
thanks for any advice
The photo has these properties:
#image1 {
float:left;
position:relative;
top:25px;
left:25px;
width:240px;
height:190px;
}
and the text has these:
#membershipcontent {
background-color:#e9e8e5;
border-radius: 15px;
width:650px;
height:600px;
position:relative;
font-family:"Arial Black", Gadget, sans-serif;
top:25px;
left:285px;
padding:10px;
margin-right:35px;
margin-bottom:35px;
}
Thanks
Craig
