Why did you not purchase Logic? It is owned by Apple and optimized for the G5 Processor! Does Digital Performer do things that Logic doesn't? I am not familiar with either program, but at a glance they look like similar applications. I think Logic would have been a better choice. Now with it being at version 6 I would think it would be a no brainer. However, I have no real authority on Audio apps.

No. The newer pumps were used May-August.
Ok, looking at my Quad.. it seems I do have the newer pump :) It is a panasonic.. can barely make out the name, but the name starts with a P.. Sorry, I made a mistake.. the Quad I have according to the person who owned it told me he got it in June of 2006.

We order Elitebooks at work mainly because of their specs and port replicators. I opted to stick with my hp 6830s C2D and gave back my Elitebook cause i hated it.
They have good specs, but with XP, drivers can be an issue, battery life is not that great and they are FUGLY. All the flashing lights on them looks like a mini airport, the trackpad is small and primitive (compared to MBP) its heavy and THICK. The 17's cost over $2-3k, which for the same price can get a same spec'd MBP.
I would not recommend the Elitebook, they are massive ugly beasts. Get the MBP or another Windows machine but not the Elitebook.

Possibly a "Thank You" or "Nice Tip" or "Nice Answer" button for the forum posts.
I've seen this on other forums, and it's nice to give props without adding to the length of a thread.
It would be great, if it would cut down on the number of ancient threads being resurrected years later, just to say thanks! I've never understood the sense of doing that, since you're not adding anything of value to the thread. Sadly, I think that even with a "thank you" button, they'd still resurrect threads to post "thank you" or "this really worked", etc.

I was looking forward to streaming video on my new iPad2 but it's not working. After 20 seconds or so, video and audio freeze. Interestingly, the timeline continues to progress. If you click behind the timeline but ahead of the freeze point, the video and audio pick up there instantly... So it's not like the bits aren't getting there!
I'm having this trouble on every wifi network I've connected to - which include both G and N routers. The problem occurs in Netflix, YouTube, ABC Player. I have the wifi-only model iPad2.

Quicksilver isn't really designed to do such a thing. It is supposed to be more focused. Use Spotlight to find everything, thats what it is there for. CMD+space.
Yes it was. And I figured out hwo to do it it. You go into catalogue and change everything's 'depth' from 1 ( the default ) to infinity ( infinite depth search, i.e every file is searchable )

I have an anti-virus program running for several hours and the only way to keep it going is to disable the sleep mode. I also have Windows 7 through VMware, and the virus program checks this OS in particular for virus problems.
I have been able to disable the Mac screen saver but not the Mac sleep mode.
I'm not sure if this can be done, and as a result, the virus program stops working when the computer is in sleep mode.

Imagine everyone who needed help just calling their threads "Please Help Me". In order to know what each thread was about, you would have to click on them.
If you name your thread something that has to do with your problem, then you are apt to get proper help. It's especially helpful in Forum Spy.

Or just install ClickToFlash and you can decide what Flash content you want to load. Many people, including me, use that plug-in with their laptops, it's very useful.

It's me again...and the bounty is back!! You may remember my last WTB thread for the Macbook Air that had a good size bounty on it.
Well, I'm offering a bounty again for the 3G iPhone (I know that even if I do get it, it may not work correctly until the 11th of July and AT&T releases the plans). I don't care, I just need/want it ASAP. If you can get one in your hands within the next 3 weeks please let me know and we'll arrange something beneficial for both of us.
