Yeah, you only need one. :)
Doing it with two would require some sort of adaptor or something to be able to plug the second external (third in total) display into AFAIK. I'm not sure that it's possible but I could be wrong.
I see. Thanks for the info. I was hoping all I need is one external monitor, so that works great.

Hey guys ! :)
I hope you can help a newbie like me with these questions.. I plan on buying an Imac which will be used for music production with Logic Studio.
The Imac will be connected to a Midi-keyboard and thats it.
Is the 21.5-inch: 2.5GHz base model powerful enough for this? Can it run Logic Studio smoothly without any problems?
I don't really want to upgrade the 21.5 to i7 as it will cost me 700 bucks more, so will it really be worth it to upgrade to i7 ?
Looking forward to your answers.
Thanks

Thanks for looking kgarner.
I saved the images out in Photoshop to the resolution that the xml file sets the images at, so there shouldn't (in theory) be a problem there.
I got my mom to look at them from her PC w/IE at work, and she said they were distorted there.

Refurb Dual 2ghz G5 PM's w/8gb - PCI-X board on the apple refurb store. They are't going to last long. Quite frankly I'm surprised they are back at all. I ordered one of these babies a month ago and love it. The day I got mine they disappeared off the site and are just back now.

what renderer are you using? maya uses the CPU for rendering, not the GPU.

Its upto you for syncing two ipads on same computer, you could set one up to restore from the backup of the other so they will be identical or you can set them up individually.

Honestly, this looks very fake. I watched the "proof" video before the actual filming. I still dont believe it.
But the song is awesome. Must be a really big fan. Wouldve took me years to make that.
And the guy behind him in the video looks terrifying!

You're missing nothing, the base 21.5" is great and if you feel the need for 8gb of ram then it only costs like $40-50 for another two sticks of 2gb ddr3.

i'm not sure, but I think not, it's got a shorter, chunkier barrel than on the pic, and the cable comes out at 90 degrees.
I wish I'd seen that one, it's a real pain having to unplug to leave the thing on my desk...

Would be intersted to see what the rest of the apple community have to say about this! Or people interested in the browser wars! Got a laugh from it earlier, even though I am an avid chrome supporter :D
You can now download the test drive of IE10 at Microsoft's site http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/
On this homepage, some coding trickery means that if you are using a dev build of chrome, in my case canary (right) it displays a different (and amusing :p) banner to the normal stable chrome build (left)

I'd say at least $400 (since the new ones are out), but these you can unlock and it's not like your going to make the buyer sign a cell phone contract. :p

facebook button is relatively new. we had it, but it was causing problems (slow load times), so we switched to a different version, which does look different.

The Like button was causing load time issues?

I was sure i read an article posted on this forum, showing someone who did just that. Bought parts off ebay to build a G5 (mainboard, case etc)... or maybe it was to upgrade an original G5 . I remember something about it not working at the correct speed so he had to mess with it..
Anyhow. MacMini... best bet if you are after something simular to a PowerMac (as in no head and no inbuilt screen) or you could look in the refurbished sites - you can actually get Single CPU 1.8 for a quite reasonable price (a lot less than say a dual g5 2ghz).

Pretty good movie. Doesn't hurt that Anne Hathaway is naked a lot. Very naked.

I had picked up and old Power Mac 6100 a few years ago from a school and have been using it ever since. For about the past year I have been using it to record notes I take on a voice recorder to burn to CD, in fact, aside from the occasional game that is the only use this computer gets.
This computer is running on OS 7.6.1 with 40MB of RAM and a 2GB hard drive. I could get a more detailed list of specifications if needed (I am not very familiar with configuration).
About a week ago I had noticed what appeared to be the PRAM battery's passing (about time too). All sorts of odd behavior had started such as the time change to 1956 and "out of memory" errors in SoundEdit and SoundApp despite the fact that only 25% of the RAM was in use. I bought a new PRAM battery and replaced it. The clock now lasts through a restart, so the battery is working. The odd behavior such as the "out of memory" errors did not end. Sound does not play at all also (except the "play-through" playback from the voice recorder).
I reset the PRAM to no avail. I have tried virtual memory, changing the memory allocation, disabling extensions, etc., but am open to suggestion. I am considering switching the RAM with some spares I have to check if the RAM is failing, but given the coincidental timing with the PRAM battery failure I doubt that is the problem. I also am considering a clean reinstall if that fails.
What would you all suggest? I would really prefer to keep using this computer. Should I just ditch this computer and figure out sound editing on my other computer?

Ugh, another cost-cutting measure from Apple, inc. Why am I not surprised?
