Get a long-ish HD-quality video on YouTube and make the player full screen.
That should get the fans spinning.

Hey guys I was wondering what I should do with my money from my Birthday. I narrowed it down to two things I really want. I could get the iPod Photo or I could get this lcd (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=1119192&sku=N52-1710) and an iPod mini. What would you suggest? :D

look for the arrows on the right side of the tab bar. Click it and a drop down list appears.

Meh. Canadian airsoft are required by law to be transparent. I don't have one, but they look very cheap compared to black ones, even if the insides are the same.
I know that nowadays the "transparent" part is really a smoked plastic that's really only transparent under harsh light. Looks pretty much like the real thing.

Hi Guys
I have a major problem with file saving permissions
Current setup:
- 5 imac (10.6)
- 1 mac book pro (10.6)
- mac xserver
- Direct attached Raid Array
Issue:
When user "A" creates new files and folders to the shared drive on the raid array it automatically defaults to read only for all other users, and any time they try to add/delete/create files or folders in the fold user "A" created they get a permissions error. Therefor everybody else cannot edit the files
E.g. user A and user B quite often work on documents together and when user A stores it in the folder user A created then user B can only read it
has anybody come across this error before?
also i have tried changing permissions in get info as it defaults to read only soon as i change it to read and write and close the get info box it reverts back to read only ( the permissions group in called everybody)
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Where do you buy decently priced and good quality screen protectors for your powerbook?? I don't want dirt on my screen!
while it is open or when it is closed? when it is closed I used to use a piece if felt the size of my keyboard, but now I have a leather one from smalldog.com. It is a lot thinner and makes the lid sit tighter then the felt. While open I have no idea. I couldn't handle anything on my screen, it would annoy the hell out of me

So, the iMac is the best computer (other than the powermac of course) for final cut pro?

Funny had this same issue yesterday morning called apple and the tech was apparently talking to iTunes support over instant message and they kept telling him that I wasn't putting in my password correctly. The guy's supervisor ended up replicating what i was doing and it didnt work for him as well and still the iTunes support person said it was me somehow which was funny cause the tech on the phone just kept apologizing since he knew it wasn't me.
Finally after about an hour they said just what was mentioned here to log out and log back in. That was it. So simple.

Can you be more specific with the problem? What links? What's your javascript code in question? How are you calling it? Have you made any test cases on a stripped-down page with just some basic html and the javascript you are using? Have you tried using Firefox with the web developer extension to show you the javascript errors?
Ok, the code that is not working in my version of safari deals with highlighting the link you select in the "links" section (that should look like iTunes' source selection area). Currently, on my computer's safari 1.3, a link does not highlight when it is clicked, and the title image does not change to reflect the new link (for example, it doesn't change from showing <news.php> to <blog.php>). The link, however, loads fine.
I hope that is a little clearer. The javascript is called with an "onclick=" option on the <a> tag. I have tried the code on a stripped-down page, and it has the same problem. I have not tried it with Firefox, because I unfortunately do not have firefox (I am on dialup and refrain from downloading something large unless I absolutely, absolutely need it).
I have not changed the page at all since it was working perfectly with Safari on my G4, so I wanted to know if it still works for you guys on supported computers.

I am also interested in this, thinking about buying this drive or the V100 128GB (or the V+100 128GB).
Any comments would be very appreciated.:p

Sorry about this, I was in a hurry to find a download link for my train journey. :o
I did see the other thread on this page after I posted and tried to delete, but the edit option had no delete button. :(

Irony: When playing Scrabble I always get stuck with a letter "Q" I can't use.
You could always turn it over and it becomes a "blank letter" with the ability to change into what ever letter you want. Of course that would be cheating but...

Such a pointless article with no insight. As far as the lack of buttons goes, the single button mouse has always annoyed me. Instead of just adding a right mouse button, they require a user to hold down a button on the keyboard and then click single mouse button. I also get annoyed with the missing backspace and backward delete key. Macs look nice and the OS is superior to Windows, but not Linux. At any rate, the fact remains that Apple products are over priced.

I agree, but i would expect Video to be in beta before the end of next year. But not for us Mac users - mid-2006 wil probably when our current skype gets out of beta.

Would you be willing to part out just the mini?
I would consider it, for pick-up only. At this time, I'm not interested in shipping it. Thanks.

As AppleJuiced call your carrier. Could be a 3G outage.
People would rather restore and go thru the backup and restore process then post a thread online and wait hours for replies than make a 2 minute call to their carrier to find out what's up.:D Most likely a network outage.
