That is actually a very good point you've brought up. The main interest I have with Thunderbolt is is there will be any AV I/O devices.
Still this is what happens when ultra new technology has been introduced without much support of devices, I can remember the same when USB was introduced...

Thanks, I was aware of that option.
I realized dashcode needs a serious overhaul, to allow it to become a html css javascript editor.
I wouldn't say it needs a major re-do, it already does syntax highlighting.
Anyways, just start a new project. You can then view,open, and edit the individual files of the project by hitting :apple:3

Hi all,
with the other ways of getting around Word documents like clicking on headings in the Document Map, I'm wondering if ANYONE ever really uses the Notebook View and finds it worthwhile?
I have honestly never used it; I either use print preview (only when editing to see how long the work is, where it stacks up, etc.) but I mostly type in the drafts page since there is hardly any breaking of writing and allows me to continue going without any distractions :)

I recently reinstalled my Mac, but I forgot to backup and now I need a very important file that I deleted because I ereased the whole disk. Is there a way to get it back? I have no Time Machine backup, but it's really important.

You are talking about the Mail app in your dock, correct?
If so, open the Mail app. From the drop down menu up top near the :apple:, click on Mail>Preferences, then click on the Accounts tab. It will display all accounts associated with Mail. Highlight the Hotmail account, then click on the minus box below the Accounts.
That's it.

Haven't actually read any of the books, but Dreamweaver usually comes with a great set of tutorials. I guess you know about sbsettings and the Processes button which shows the running Apps. It doesn't show the actual processes but you can quit the running apps and there's the "Free up memory" button...
Maybe that's a start...
'Mobile Terminal' and the top command may show you the memory hogs.
I'm also interested in an Activity Monitor like App. So if there's something like that...

Yes that isn't normal, but if it still charges maybe it's okay. If it doesn't charge then bring it back to the apple store.
Even if it charges, the data connector should have 30 pins, don't want it to corrupt data.

Thanks robbie. Yep, I knew about the search feature, but that doesn't help if you don't know the exact spelling as the search engine appears to be limited in how it works.
If you know what the name begins with, the search feature will give you hints as you type:

Steve is often interviewed on CNBC following a keynote. I don't see anything scheduled, but not sure if there would be. They have some pre-event coverage, nothing beyond the speculation we've seen elsewhere.
CNN just mentioned MacWorld, with the buzz Steve will announce the phone. Their phrasing was also clearly speculation, don't think they have anything we haven't heard, they're probably using MacRumors as their source. :-)

So I ended up going with a Crucial 4gb upgrade kit and the system views all 4 gb, Parallels performance is up a bunch which is pretty much the primary reason I wanted more ram. Just wanted to let you guys know... :cool:

Hi guys! I am wanting to reprint all the pieces of my portflio. At school when i use acrobat pro, I have a setting to put epson premium presentation paper (the kind of paper I use to print work). I also have a setting to print quality over speed, which makes the printing a whole lot slower but it looks best.
Now I am printing at home. I have adobe acrobat x (not pro). At school we had version 9 and it was pro so had those settings. Now that I am using x and it isnt pro, I dont see a setting for quality over speed. I also dont see a setting for certain epson paper.
Could it be a driver issue? Is it because I am not using acrobat pro? Or is it because this is version 10 and I need 9?

The problem I run into is that because my database is about 25 megs in size...With reference o your thread title: 25MB is really quite a small amount of data, for comparison I regularly work with databases that are several hundred gigabytes in size.

I in stalled Final Cut Academic version on my PowerMac G5 1.6 ghz, 1 TB hard drive and 2 gb of ram. But when I try to open Final Cut Pro it attemptes to open i can see all kinds of files rushing by ( i am assuming they are loading) but when it gets to " Audio Filters" Final Cut hangs and the little wheel things just keeps spinning, and spinning and FCP never opens, why,why,why?????Help help help??!!

It's probably formatted as NTFS. OS-X only reads, natively. I believe there are a couple of utilities that will enable read/write capabilities, but I can't remember the names.
Another option is to move the data, reformat the drive as Mac OS Extended (journaled) with GUID partition table, then move the data back.

I don't mean this in any sort of negative way at all but I have noticed pretty much all of my asian female acquaintances always flash the peach sign in their photos....like every one of them and I am curious as to the reason
I have not noticed this at all with any of my other friends, at least not to the same extent.
Anyone know the reason for this? Or is it just a strange observation I have noticed?
